You Rock tells the story of a connection between two neighborhoods that started with a few simple painted rocks. Beth and her kids, inspired by the actions of others, set out to pay kindness forward. They were stunned by the outcome of their small act, and found that the community around them was brought together in a way no one could have predicted.

Ultimately, You Rock documents the lasting positive effect that simple, random acts of kindness can produce.

About “You Rock”

Thank you for your interest in “You Rock.”

Making this film was a labor of love that I’m excited to share. The pandemic has given us extra time at home and has challenged us to come up with creative ways to fill our time. I had no idea when we started painting rocks and leaving them randomly around the neighborhood that it would turn out to be such a source of enjoyment for so many. I kept seeing post after post about how much the rocks meant to those that found them and it brought my family unforeseen joy. I was amazed that what seemed like such a small effort on our part was able to bring so much needed happiness into the world. The responses were overwhelming, and I knew this was a story that needed to be told.

Don’t ever think you can’t affect others positively. It’s a gift we all possess and hopefully all use. You never know how much someone needs some kindness, some compassion, or a positive sign in the form of a painted rock. Random acts of kindness go a long way -- sometimes more than we’ll ever know. I’m thankful to all those that took part in this film and those that helped me put it together. I hope you enjoy it and I hope it inspires you to spread joy in your own way.

Together we can make the world a better, more loving place.
